Watch the video clip ”The game-changing year with Battle of the numbers”:

Battle of the numbers is a unique project that turns words into actions when it comes to getting more women into operative and decision making positions.

Ericsson, H&M, Ikea, Saab, Sandvik, Scania, SEB, SPP, SSAB and Volvo AB are participating in the first round of the project.

Battle of the numbers was launched on November 20, 2012. On that day, an opinion piece written by the CEO’s of the ten companies was published in Dagens Industri.

This is how it works

Instead of the management analysing how the company should work to attract, recruit, develop and retain more female talent and get them to operating and decision making roles, the participating companies will take use of the best management consultants within this area – the women themselves.

For the following year, each company have chosen ten women to act as experts to identify what have helped them to reach the positions they have today – and what’s needed for them, and other women like them, to advance.

The ten women in each company will form an effective team that closely represent the entire company. The team will then work closely with the management to create an organization of tomorrow. By using themselves as a knowledge base, the participating women will co-create effective actions and business cases – and develop best practises in order to get more women into operating- and decision making roles.

Battle of the numbers will end with a closing event on November 21, 2013.
